Those 'April' Showers came early in NC (pics)

I took some pics this morning around the neighborhood before heading to work...we've had a LOT of rain in Charlotte this week and now we're under a flood warning. My backyard is flooded pretty bad...and its supposed to rain and thunder some more today.

Our house should be safe (its up on an embankment compared to the rest of the yard) but all that standing water will mean more pests to deal with all summer long (water breeds mosquitos and other larvae; insects bring frogs and hairy scary wolf spiders; frogs and spiders bring rats, fieldmice and little snakes; and these little critters bring the poisonous copperheads...)

Anyway, here's link to the pic gallery...

Yep Im about 45 miles from you in Salisbury, Loads of fun watching it rain.

Boy was that a lighting storm we had last night 😛

Its stopped right now, but I doubt its done...

Tell me about it...I was up until 3am with all the lightning, thunder and the distant sirens of rescue workers responding to accidents on the big road beyond our 'hood.

My boss called in yesterday...he's vacationing out in Arizona this week. He told me it was snowing pretty heavily this week up by Flagstaff...he actually went out by the Grand Canyon and it was snowing THERE!!!! Can't wait to see the pics...

The Grand Canyon looks really cool with snow in/on it!

It's supposed to get up to the 50's by Sunday. Between last years drought and all my construction going on, I have very little actual grass. I'm going to be knee-deep in mud soon 🙁
