Thoroughbred vs Palomino

Someone at Biostar (my Motherboard manuf.) informed me that the M7VKD board
ONLY supported the Thoroughbred Athlon 2100+ CPUs and NOT the Palomomino
variety. So I purchased the chip (Model 8 Thoroughbred ). I later found out
from ANOTHER Biostar employee that the OPPOSITE was true. I now have an
"incompatable" CPU. Everything works fine except the MB doesn't "recognize
the CPU type"... Not a serious problem...like I said ... everything seems to
work fine.... Boots, Runs, plays Ghost Recon etc ..... OR so I think. ....

I need someone to let me know what problems can I expect from having
a Thoroughbred chip versus a Palomino CPU ... If any at all. Are there any
critical problems that may arise by using the Thoroughbred CPU? It's voltage
requirements (1.65v) are the same as the Duron 800 it replaced. My FSB
changed from 100MHz to 133MHz (all supported by the MB). Please help.

Thank you
Israel

The only difference the motherboard would see is the voltage. The T-Bred will be 1.65 volts while the Palomino will be 1.75 volts. Everything else is the same.
