I'm looking to upgrade my system. so far, I've settled on a KT333 board w/ an XP processor. I'm really interested in keeping my upgrade options as open as possible - I'll probably go w/ a less expensive XP right now (1700+) and upgrade when I have a little more bank. I've heard the thoroughbred processors are coming out at the end of this month - and I'd like to eventually move up to one of those when the prices go down without replacing the mainboard. My question is: are there any motherboards currently available that will "most likely" support the new chips when they arrive? Or will there be an entirely new class of MB that will be needed to support them.

The A7N266-C new BIOS supports the T-breds. I'm pretty sure that the KT333 will support it considered it came out later than the Nforce.

from the articles ive read the t-bred is identical to the palomino as far as architecture and features

the only difference is the smaller die

meaning any board that supports the palomino (athlonxp) should support the t-bred
