Can somebody tell me if this is TBred-A or B, because it has 1.5 voltage (TBred-A) and a stepping code JIUHB (TBred-B). The markings below are from a user that claims they are correct and are taken from CPU that he just bought. Anyone have an idea if that CPU is A or B, or just the markings are incorrect?

no... it is a TBRED B!!!

new tbreds after week 7 are being released that are defaulting at 1.5V (which the "L" represents in the first line of code)

but it is still a B (JIUHB)

lol
this is asked just as many times as "my computer isnt recognized as correct speed"

for future reference, look at the stepping (at least for now until amd decides to pull a fast one...i hope not)
if its XXXXA then its Tbred A
if its XXXXB then its Tbred B

Someone direct me to the AMD tech docs on this. Everyone seems to be pulling their own methods out on how to ID the T-breds.

Well

there is confusion now as to how to ID the tbred's

originally you could ID a tbred B in two ways:

1. 1st line of code: DUT3C U = 1.6V and what the tbred b's default at
2. 2nd line of code: JIUxB where x= G,C,H ... but the B at the end of the code means it's a tbred B

BUT NOW.... amd is releasing tbred b's that are defautling at 1.5V or have the first line of code of: DLT3C

one way to distinguish between an A and a B was by the first line...

A = DLT3C
B = DUT3C

because B's now have the same voltage as A's... you can no longer identity tbred B's by first line of code...

You have to look at the second line and look at the JIUxz part where x = c,g,h and z = A or B

If that second line of code has A then it's an A
if it has a B where "z" is... then it's a B

that's the only way to identify an A from a B now...

so just because someone says: "hey i have a DLT3C JIUHB and it's a tbred A!!!!' don't listen to them... because they are wrong...

i don't remember exactly where the tech sheet is on the amd site.. but it's there somewhere that explains what all the letters mean...

good luck on your search

You probably missed what I said:
"and a stepping code JIUHB (TBred-B)"

I was asking where did he read/found info that AMD started producing TBRED-Bs after 7th week of 2003
