So we are 17th. Is that good ?
Good enough to get us into the next round if we keep it up. Also good enough to keep us in contention for the Thor Pure challenge later.

I ordered 2 more pi 4 2GBs that should be here Monday I can setup for the next phase. Its not a lot, but hard to beat the price for 4 cores
I am not going to pursue any more PI's. I will save up for another EPYC. I already have case,PSU,heatsink laying around.

I can appreciate that. I’m going to stop with the Pis at 16 I think, as next month, hopefully, I’ll be able to upgrade my desktop and Freenas boxes to Ryzen 4950s (or whatever they may be called). I expect that the 4950s will be more power efficient than pis, but the pis make a fantastic platform for playing with kubernetes

Its cheap, and great for limited situation, but its so slow. And only 4 cores. Even a 4 core Ryzen would be 3-5 times faster. or more. I am getting 4 results a day on WCG. Its not throttling, or out of memory.. Its running full speed. My 3900x's are doing 276 results a day. Even divided my 6 (3 times the ghz and 3 times the cores) thats 92 results vs 4. a BIG difference.

You can give them away at Christmas as stocking stuffers :)
Even better if you give them as stocking stuffers, but configured for boinc adding to your account? ;)

@Markfw i checked my WCG page for my 3 pi 4s I have running. I’m averaging more like 10 wu per day, not 4. I still don’t think that really changes things compared to epyc, but I thought it was worth mentioning that there may still be some room to improve your pi.

CSF is slow tonight. Final stats for the Thor challenge, part 2:

So, we're in the top 25 and we get into the next round a week from now. :) But getting into the top 10 will be harder.

Hmm, I seem to have timed things poorly for switching to this event. Still, adding more pis and switching my 2700x over, just might not be on minute 1

It looks like we have to pump 50% more cores into this to get into the top 10.

Is there a boinc command to not run new tasks for a project? How about one for resume a project?

Sure. If you use BOINC manager. There is "no new tasks" and "resume". It also works on BOINCTASKS.

If you want command line, no idea. I run Boincmanager even on my PI.

boinccmd shows what commands available in the boinccmd implementation. It evidently offers only a subset of the remote GUI RPCs.

There are e.g. "nomorework" or "suspend" available as operation per project. But if your goal is to complete currently running tasks and suspend downloaded-but-not-yet-started tasks, some scripting needs to be done.

Well, since we are 17th again... Unless some of you put a LOT of CPUs to this we are done after this week. we need like 500 more cores and NOW... We need to double out production before the next update, or we are probably done with this challenge.

I'll see what I can add. This is still the runtime portion of the contest right not overall points? I can at least add an older i7 8 thread laptop, etc. to it, and will add as much as I can.
