Parents Steamed Over Racy Lingerie Window

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The mannequins in the Victoria's Secret window are supposed to turn heads. But lately, they've been getting the wrong kind of attention in downtown Greenwich.

Several mothers have complained the displays are too racy, and one parent filed a formal complaint at Town Hall.

The thong-clad mannequins have been the subject of several letters to The Greenwich Time, and officials in surrounding towns say they've heard similar complaints.

"I avoid walking by there purposely," Leora Levy told the newspaper. "I'm uncomfortable when I see things like that. And I'm not a prude."

In other news, noted local thong expert and spokesperson Fausto Uno Georgiyevich reacted to the story with indignance yet daintily danced around the touchy topic. "People can be SO thilly." Fausto positively declared. "You'd think they'd just witnessed a capital crime, like wearing white after Labour Day!"

Apparently this woman has no clue what "prude" means.

she is definately a prude... and i've wept for the future for sometime now

it's a freaking mannequin, get over it and quit whining... kids are learning things earlier and earlier in life now and there is no real reason to shield their eyes from many things anymore

Exactly, what the hell. I can understand posters of real women in thongs in the windows, but come on; mannequins?

I agree with those people. That is a higly inappropriate thing to be displayed in public. Children will be subjected to them, and will get a wrong impression of world. After that, there is nothing but swiftly sliding down into the valley of immorality where degenerates belong. Clearly us God fearing people don't want our kids to be subjected to things of that nature. I suggest a quick removal of such vile displays.

This thread is worthless without pics, (except of course as a platform for Fausto to thongify us all)

People, you have to understand that this is Connecticut, not California, we are very Conservative here.

I'm from Connecticut too. Greenwich is quite possibly the most uptight, sexually repressed town on the face of the earth. Nobody is allowed to live there unless they're virgins, frigid or too old to be sexually active. Greenwich makes the Amish look like the guest list at a typical Hugh Hefner plarty.

Wow they're slow. We had this debate about a Victoria's Secret in the mall down in Provo, Utah a couple years ago. :(

I did not know the Bible Belt extended that far northwards...:D I guess our religious, uptight, in-dire-need-of-a-good-shagging-folks, sexually-repressed folks don't go to the mall here.

I digress. The people you refer to as "Religious Fundies" are the very people who form the glue that is holding morality togather. Without morality, this society would be no better than a cage of wild animals, where the mightiest one rules. Those who believe in the Lord and accept Jesus Christ as their true Lord and Saviour know how important morality is, and what must be done to maintain it.

dude i hope that is scarcasm.

if not, i suggest you read the bible again. no where and i mean no where does the bible say nudity is wrong/immoral or something to be ashamed of. In fact it says just the opposite. if you want a good starting place start with Genisis. God was pissed when he saw Adam and Eve wearing fig leaves to hide themselves.

better yet read this, you might learn something.
