I never really appreciated how cool his paintings were until now. They are really quite gorgeous.

I think I'd have gone with Nazis instead of imperial troops.

Kinkade's a douche. His stuff has potential, but he takes it way too far. Everything that's nice about his paintings gets cranked up to 11, and it ruins the whole thing in the process. It's the kind of painting a 3 year old savant would do if you described what you wanted to see. The technical skills are there, but the sense of style is over the top, and juvenile.

Dali is awesome, I was in Rome when I was younger and got to check out an exhibition of his. Very well done. You should check out Renee Magritte as well.

LOL, I was all ready to blast the OP for appreciating a hack artist, but these paintings really are an improvement over the original. I'd love to buy prints of these.

Thomas Kinkade was a guy that had a staff of artists add dabs of paint to embellish prints of his paintings, which he would then sell as "hand painted", and commanding a high price. What a crock.

I like him, Patrick Nagel, and Norman Rockwell. Oh, and Wyland too.

I considered buying "Flags Over The Capitol" years ago when there were TK stores in malls. (Ones with adjustable lighting to show off the lighting effects in the paintings.)
I almost paid for one and then the saleslady went over the scale. None were painted by Kinkade other than the highest level, the rest were painted by varying levels of "apprentices".
They didn't have a Master level one, so I passed.

What they failed to tell me was that they had some with Star Wars vehicles. What a failure of a saleswoman.

Star Wars is bogus - We're supposed to believe that those Star Destroyers are capable of atmospheric flight WITHOUT WINGS?

I bet Spaceball One could do it. In fact, if I recall correctly, they actually did it in the movie.

Look at some of the most expensive stuff by Banksy that has sold. I like about half of it. I think the people buying it are mentally retarded though.
