If you listen to his response what hes really trying to say, Thom that is, is

"Guys I need to lay off the X and acid for awhile, sometimes I dont even remember that there's a freakin H in my name."

Hey, I have an idea. Let's have a flamewar over something totally subjective....like music, for instance.

There's nothing worse than nerds in a music thread. Go away.

As a guitar player for 16 years, and a former GIT student, I'd hardly consider myself a nerd who knows nothing about good music. I'm just not a conformist (incorrectly labeling myself a non-conformist), who thinks I'm on a higher plane for listening to "underground" music - that is so underground, every kid in America listens to them (also, see Coldplay). It's conformity of indie rock wanna be's. http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/syws/indierock/indierock.html Have some originality, and enjoy music that's not listened to by every other 16-21 year old male. I'm old enough to remember when it was Pearl Jam in '93. Trends like this come and go. Today's 12-year-olds will have a "genius" band they'll like in 6 years, and you'll think they suck.

Wow, so you're not a nerd, you're just too cool for even pseudo-indie music. I wish I could be as cool as you!

You can like, or dislike, whatever you want. Declaring one group worthy of the "real music" label and another group "crap" is another story. Hence my emphatic eye-rolling.

Really? Why don't you quantify that opinion for us and explain precisely why they are "crap"?
