She is skilled indeed, but the idea that she's going anywhere near as fast as a combine would is ridiculous. :p

I can't believe I just watched some chick harvest wheat with a scythe for 7 minutes.

i watched less than a minute...its not exactly riveting. i was waiting for her to slip and cut her legs up *shrug*

She's not moving anywhere near as fast as a mower. At that rate it would take here all season to harvest that crop.

i just watched for one minute. looks like the trick is to keep
the blade close to the ground, which makes sense, just never
thought about it. it's almost like she's swinging a hockey stick.

a very sharp hockey stick. i couldn't figure out what she was
doing to the blade, but when she put something back in her
pocket, it was almost obvious, she was sharpening it. i have
a feeling that wasn't for show.

she's like a combination of The Hulk and an Amish teenager.

I agree with their message. We've been way too dependent on machinery and technology to do the work for us. For example, at work. Which one of ya'll would send an email to someone at work rather than walking 1 minute to their cubicle or office?
