Yesterday, before the big game I got this email from my sister's boyfriend:
if you're not one of the millions of people watching the superbowl,
then nevermind. but if you are, and you enjoy the commercials, look
for mine.
mmmm, tv...
a few weeks ago i had the fortunate opportunity to cut some budweiser
spots. they all turned out well, but as you can imagine, they went
through quite a rigorous testing process. throughout the week, we
were told one spot (entourage) would air on the superbowl and not the
other (journey). then we heard the other spot (journey) would air and
not the one (entourage). fast forward to superbowl sunday. the one
spot (journey) is supposed to air. we'll see. fingers are crossed.
entourage - nelly and tim mcgraw meet on the tarmac about to board
their respective private planes. they say hi and each get phone calls.
then they board the plane. of course they soon realize they're on the
wrong plane. logo. crisscross and nelly says to tim, "i think that's
yours, buddy."
journey - a bunch of different animals are seen traveling. they arrive
at a barn. the door opens and a stablehand looks at the assembled
animals. the elephant trumpets. the stablehand turns around to look
at the other stablehand who looks down. we see it's a donkey. the
stablehand says, "now look what you've started." logo. a pig is
running along a road. we hear the pig's voice say, "gosh, i hope i'm
not too late."
