Put this stuff in a water gun!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-RYZz7UQ8s

Anyone take a glow stick apart and mix the stuff? A long time ago I remember someone who bit the end off one and put the stuff in their mouth and was spitting on others and wound up barfing on the bouncers that carried him out of the club. It probably didn't taste too well mixed with whatever other stuff he was on. :Q

A super soaker filled with brightly glowing liquid would be fun. Someone should do this and video tape it!

He picks the flask up... and he puts it down.
Ooh... he picks the flask up.... shakes it.... and puts it down.
Now he picks the flask up... brings it closer to the camera... shakes it... annnnd puts it down.
What's this? Now he picks the flask up, shakes it, brings the bottom end to the camera... shakes it yet again... the camera adjusts its aperture... annnd he puts it back down.

Anyway, this stuff wouldn't work in a super soaker, wouldn't it be filled with floating bits of glass?

Don't Drink This!

Even if it had glass it would probably still work.

If the lightstick tube is punctured and the liquid drained and stowed safely the inner ampule can be fractured leaving larger shards of glass that are easily extricated from the liquid. A dozen lightsticks can yield a decent amount of the materials required.

The video did list 34% H202 as one of the ingredients! That's quite strong of an oxidizer and will do bad things to your skin so definitely be careful if you're working with the two parts separately. Once mixed and the reduction takes place it's much safer I'd imagine. I'm sure there's an MSDS on cyalume lightsticks floating around. ;)

Hmmm. Is there a non-toxic non-caustic additive that we could use in a liquid to make UV supersoakers? As long as you have enough blacklights, that could easily be cooler than laser-tag.

Dye-Lite would work.

A single drop of this in a bucket of water makes it glow like anti freeze! Looks super toxic but would not hurt you at all. As long as you have enough black lights, the streams would definitely look like death rays. :)

Then play some music and you're all set!

Yes! Now if only we could get DJ Keltech to do the mixes, we could have a very profitable goldmine here.
