This will make you angry...

Humm, interesting. But is there any proof from a second source? With a story this extreme, it's hard-to-impossible to believe from a single source.😱

sad, if truthful 🙁 i can just imagine his frustration.

i have to say, I have always had a really good experience with airport security, even though I have had to be detained several times. they have a pretty crappy job.

I can't verify the story.. but I wouldn't be surprised if most of it was true.

Racial profiling... harassment, etc. all in the name of "security". I just can't agree with that.

True or not, this DOES happen I'm afraid...

My Mom works for the airlines and this stuff goes on more than most people even want to know about. They all turn a blind eye to it, lest they become targets themselves. There is no check or balance to the system.

Pregnant women can fly past that point with a doctor's OK.

When my wife was 6 or so months pregnant with our first, just about 3 years ago today...some woman (not an employee, another traveller) in the Charlotte airport (damn hellhole that it is) just knocked her the hell down, and then kept on going.

In the crowd I didn't see what happened, but once I realized, I started yelling at that stupid bitch about it.

I have no doubt that if I did that now--post 9/11/2001--I, too, would be cuffed and stuffed!

I can also tell you that if *ANY* complications WHATSOEVER resulted after something like what this guys outlines...I would OWN those asshats. :|
Obviously there were non-security employee witnesses around the checkpoint that would have seen everything that happened.

Tsk, tsk. SOP is to get a FEMALE to feel up the breasts for any potentially dangerous items. Ditto on the skirt check.

I think it might be warranted. Who knows what you could hide if you acted pregnant.

Knowing how weird the US is, i'm inclined to believe that it might have happened. However, I don't think it's that big of a deal.

I will believe it when I read it in the Tabloids.

I however do believe things like that can happen.

just another incident of perhaps thousands since 9/11. Many of us have said it is worth it if it will protect us. Many probably thought it would just happen to the brown people.

That really pissed me off.

I have been in similar situation almost everytime I'm in an American airport. I find that American security guards are the most arrogant & are ignoramus asshat out of about a dozens counties that I have been to.

I wish that the airport spent more effort on screening & educating their security employee, because I don't want to give up my rights as an honest citizen the minute I step into the US airport.

Yeah right.. you are dreaming if you think the government will protect us from terror. Nothing will protect us 100%.

This pretty much sums it up for me:

"Those that would give up essential liberty for temporary freedom deserve neither freedom nor liberty." -Benjamin Franklin.

I'll pass on the 1984 crap and the racial profiling to "protect me", thanks.

I don't doubt the story, but I think the guy and his wife, overreacted. I was searched during my last flight because I kept setting off the metal detector. ( I was traveling with my nephew, and he put a gum wrapper in the little coin pocket of my jeans.:Q) There was a line of 15 or so waiting, and about 5 were women. I was just amazed by the reaction of this one girl. She had a major problem with the fact that she had to be searched, like they called her a terrorist or something. Most of the women got the pat down right there as it really was no big deal. It's not like the women doing the search were trying to cop a feel. They use the back part of hand as they go down that part of the body. One lady had a problem with it being out where everyone could see though, so they took het to a side room. If the women in the story would have asked, I'm sure the same would have been done for her. If her husband would have been calm instead of being a stupid hothead, they would have made their wedding.

Like it or not, times have changed. If you feel you can't deal with it, stay home.

Hell I just flew and didn't even get the pat. All I had to do was take off my belt and that was it. My luggage wasn't searched nor was even asked a single question. To me it seemed easier than pre 9-11. the TSA screeners at the airport were quite good at the airport I flew out of.

BTW, this guy's little story seemed a little one sided and hotheaded to me. I think the guy exaggerated part of his story. I didn't get angry about it because the guy writing the story seemed like a moron.

I was pretty pissed at ontario when the guy "accidently" hit my nuts with his metal detector wand. Of course I over-reacted so that everyone in the checkpoint will turn around and look at my predicament. I don't yell at people, I yell to get attention and to embaress. I could have kicked the guy in the nuts for jabbing my nuts, but not too good of an idea with guy with M-16 rifle 2 ft away....
