This Week: ABC

Wow...A couple weeks ago we had McCain and Biden being cordial and even in agreement on Meet The Press and today, on This Week on ABC, we had Gingrich and Bayh both agreeing that any appointed government in Iraq will not be respected by the Iraqi populace and a move to sooner elections, even September, would be beneficial.

Gingrich did say that we'll probably hear from Bush, tomorrow night, trying to push those elections out until Jan/Feb 2005, though.

There have been alot of local and regional elections already and more are to come. IIRC Jan 2005 has been the national election date for quite some time. I wouldn't mind sooner elections if things are in place to ensure elections could take place though.🙂

Just some info on how the election process is coming along:

Thanks for the link.

One of the most poignant statements made on This Week (forget now who said it) was along the lines of:

What we need is not an American in charge of Iraq that will die to provide democracy but we need to find Iraqis who are willing to die to spread democracy.
