Do you have a link with the benchmarks for the tweaks?
 
If you click Run in your start menu, then type in msconfig and hit enter, it opens a configuration utility. I wouldn't mess with it if you don't know what you are doing, and if you are reading a tutorial that means you don't know what you are doing. You could seriously screw up your computer.
