While the beat was definitely ahead of its time, all they have is a chorus. And why would he have a video where his girl is cheating on him?

I think that song was actually a hit...Pretty horrible. I'm sure he made a few bucks off it though.
 
Wow...pretty awful video but amazing how the music style is way ahead of its time. Eddie Murphy the founder of house music...lol
 
I bought that RECORD when I was (I think) 10. It was over 20 years ago.

I thought it was an Eddie Murphy album. Man was I disappointed when I got home. "WTF is this? Singing? Tell some jokes!"

Yes, he and MANY others made failed attempts at music, it's nothing new. Did you ever see Bruce Willis's attempt?
Because that is the point of the song.. and BTW it's fictional.
Because that is his natural smile and he is having a good time.

I figured I would answer these since my 7 year old nephew askes the same level of questions and I'm used to it now 🙂
