This warrant seeing a doctor for?

First off, I hate doctors, so I have only gone to them in the past when I have needed more then 10 stiches for a wound and never really for any sort of illness, would just get some rest and find some over the counter drug. Who knows, maybe I am using the wrong over the counter drug right now.

Basically, for the past two months or so have had a really bad upset stomach 3-4 days of the week. Like feels like my stomach is on fire and I feel like I"m going to upchuck. Recently it's starting as a lot of food and drink burn as I swallow it (no sick jokes please!). For example alcohol (I maybe have two drinks a month), soda and a variaty of foods. I've been taking tums and Zantec 150 for this, helps a little but not really. Anything stronger then the Zantec 150 that's over the counter or am I going to have to bite the bullet on this one?

Heh, didn't think I'd have to worry about stomach problems until I was older 😀

Eh, didn't think I would have an ulcer at 22 though...I mean my stepfather just had one and he's 42.

You don't have to be "old" to have an ulcer. Keep avoiding the doctor. See how that works out for ya.

Stomach ulcers can be brought on by a lot of things, you're literally risking your life over something that is easily treatable. go get it looked at man

Alright thanks for the heads up. Wasn't sure if it was something that I could kill with enough tums or something that I should get done.

I vote for Prilosec as well if you don't want to go see a doc. Also, avoid any foods that cause heart burn. Stay away from soda, pizza, and spicy foods for awhile. Drink lots of water.
