like i say,,this upgrade consisted of a new mobo ( msi k7t turbo 2 ),,,and new video card ( geforce2 Ti 64mb/ddr, ) and a new athlon thunderbird 1.33/266.

maybe i was expecting to much i guess,,,but my other machine is just as good as this one,,it was a amd k6-2/ 450,

i even tried a old game Tiger woods 99 and set options at ultra high at 800x600 and it was so choppy,,

i'm wondering how to go about seeing if this video card is worth the money i spent on it,,,i just did the over haul and upgrade last nite,

i'm not inpressed at all,,,also,,my t-bird says 1000 mhz,,,,i bouhgt and paid for a 1.33

Try reading your manual. Look for the location of the jumper you must remove (J17 under the DIMM slots) in order to change the FSB from 100MHz to 133MHz.

Try clearing the CMOS and see if that helps, also for gaming you do have the VIA 4 in 1 drivers installed unless you`ve WinXP since XP has native VIA support.

Btw you don`t say what OS or GF2 drivers you have.

Also go into bios and disable all video shadowing, and disable system bios cacheable as well (these are good tweaks for your video card).

Hopefully you started with a clean format? If ya didn't thats probably your problem right there.

You should also get all the latest drivers for EVERYTHING, cause that system should definitally be a good amount faster...

Another thing you can check is if FSAA is enabled in Nvidia display properties control panel I`ve mine set to off to get higher FPS in gaming so check yours is not on,normal options are off,2x,4x, or " allow applications to control antialiasing".

well,,that is easier said then done,,,i'm not even sure where to begin

and here is something from some info i got from my card,( BIOS VER. 3.15.01.02 ),,now is that a bios driver,,or does it say anything in it that i should upgrade the bios?,

i went to madonion2001 se and my score was 3312,,,,,,also, it said i had this driver for my vid card 4.13.01.2183,,

any insight is appreciated

I think that that score would be actually a bit high for that video card... the TI geforce 2 is a bit lower then a gefroce2 Ultra, right? Pulling over 3,000 is pretty impressive I would say

Did you get your T-bird working at 1.33 ok, also what PSU do you have?

Btw the video card drivers you`ve are 21.83 but you don`t say the brand of the GF2 card and which drivers(Nvidia or brand drivers ) you are using.

You don`t say what make anyway unless it`s AMD approved for 1.33ghz speed it`s possible it can`t supply enough power when you`ve it at 1.33ghz speed so is not booting up.
