This Turkey has got to be bad!

We have had a frozen turkey in the freezer since before Thanksgiving. It was given to my roommates from UPS for the "Holidays". It was in a cardboard box and wrapped in plastic (sealed) and also has the plastic netting over it.

How long will it last? Can we still cook it up? How much longer will it last?

A frozen whole turkey will keep in the freezer for up to 6 to 7 months. If stored properly after 12 months, a whole frozen turkey is still safe to eat, but the quality may suffer (i.e. freezer burn).

Yup, meat is good for at least 4 months in the freezer in my experiences. Just try to cook it up in the next few months... perhaps a super bowl turkey?
