it's just a way for companies who don't have enough money to hire people to do something. they use you, make you think you're special for searching for aliens (aliens don't exist :x ....) then send you some generic thanks message and don't even bother to give you a keyring or drink coaster in the mail. fvck 'distributed computing'. they ought to call it 'distributed ass reaming' so that you know that all the system resources you use to find marvin the martian are for naught.
