While I'm not going to read the link here is reality. We have a deficit and are spending more than what we're taking in. Its time to talk spending cuts AND tax increases. Not just spending cuts.

In a perfect world I'd like to see Republicans come up with tax plans that actually take in more revenue, not just rosy taxes thru newly created jobs. Maybe Democrats figure out new taxes for low income people.
I'd like to see Democrats come up with budget cuts that are real cuts not just estimates and cut military, domestic and benefit spending more or less evenly. Maybe Republicans figure out the military spending cuts.
Force each party to do what they don't want to do because a) it minimizes election politics b) they'll be effective because they don't want to do it.
