This thread is about the Matrix Revolutions, don't read it if you don't want it spoiled

changed the title because everybody was yelling spolier, when in fact there was nothing spoiled. :frown:

SPOILER

original title: Matrix Revoultions: At the end when the sentinel passes through Neo... what was the point of that?

It just passes through him in the orange glow that he "sees". This is before they go up into the sky when going to the machine city.

😕

I haven't seen it. Thanks for putting the ending in the title.

the title didn't ruin anything for you.. the message body could've ruined something IF you've never seen a matrix revolutions trailer. which I doubt people haven't seen.

besided, revolutions was garbage anyways.

just reading this reminds me of FF the movie where they monsters take your soul away. I haven't seen the movie either.

They didn't go down any religious "path". You see what you want to see.

I was going to write something but there's no point in arguing, it's already been done so many times

6 times really...

fivespeed, was it REALLY necessary to put half of the spoiler in the title? No, it doesn't give away any plotline, but it still tells something that happens later in the movie. You really should edit that.

Over the next few days, expect a serious look at the theology and symbology behind Revolutions, and expect the full explanation you've been waiting for.

It's not a hard argument to make that Revolutions was one of the most widely razzed, misunderstood, and criticized movies of 2003. Just a few months afterwards came Gibson's controversial film The Passion of the Christ. And that thing is still breaking records. Now, admittedly, Gibson's story is the myth-proper and the Wachowskis employed Christianity as metaphor, but I am one fan who found it strange that one would be so widely embraced, and the other so widely rejected.
...
The Wachowskis wove religion throughout the entire fabric of the trilogy. To me, it is most recognizable as Christian, but anyone can see the Taoism (the Path), Buddhism (spoon boy), and the Hinduism (reincarnation). But probably with a name like Wachowski, the guys were most familiar with Christianity ? and we can see this in their decisions to put Bible verses on license plates and on the plaques of each hovercraft (most visible on the Neb, but you can see others on the official website).

😕
There was no point to anything in Reloaded or Revolutions, except maybe to make the point of how badly you could do sequels. Of course some will say that George Lucas is already making that point, so there is even less of a point to the Matrix sequels.

 😛

Edit: Except, I guess, George is making his point about prequels, so the Matrix sequels do have a point after all. 😀

Isn't there ANYONE else besides me who enjoyed Matrix Reloaded/Revolutions? 😕

I enjoyed them as seperate action movies (cgi, fighting, battle scene at the end), not as a trilogy or for any of the story line. I only enjoyed matrix 1 for that.
