QFT. BushDaddy spawned 2 governors who were just about worthless...including one went on to steal the Presidency... and a bank scammer who got away clean...talk about name recognition...:p

How can you talk about a New York senate seat without mentioning Hillary Clinton? She had no pedigree to speak of, other than her marriage to Bill, when the people of New York elected her.

My father got me my internship in college which is pretty much the experience that got me my real job. But I imagine this is pretty common since something like 75% of people get their initial internships or jobs from nepotism.

I'm a white guy with a Spanish name. Not only do I not get any breaks, people who have never seen me in person assume I'm part of a group that isn't too popular in this country. :(

Regarding Kennedy/Palin, I'll reiterate what I said in the forum where that discussion belongs -
Kennedy has a lot of applicable experience, she just hasn't held an elected position.
Palin holds an elected position (somehow), but her proud-to-be-clueless attitude makes it impossible to take her seriously

Of the two I think Kennedy is more qualified to hold an elected position, and I'm not a Democrat.
