This thought came to me . . ..

How come no other big-name candymakers, say Mars or Nestle, make chocolate candy bars like Hershey's?

I'm not counting Nestle Crunch, I'm talking about the 100% milk chocolate variety here.

Your thoughts?

Dove? Godiva maybe?
Well, compared to any euro chocolate or expensive stuff here, hershey sucks.

I think the Nestle company puts out a basic chocolate bar, forget the name.
Right around this time of year you see plenty of choco at the stores.
Walgreens actually has a really good variety.

I'm not big on the stuff. But if I had to have it, I'd sooner go to a genuine choclatier and get some good stuff.

symphony bars are mars, are they not? and they absolutely pwn hershey's

Nope. The symphony bar is a Hershey product.

well, then there is a reason Hershey doesn't have any competition. It's because their symphony bars can't be beat. 😛

I dint know there was a Alberta, Austalia.

Anywho, I pretty sure that godiva is American.
I'm just sayin that compared to the expensive American stuff, or any euro stuff, hershey is weak.
