building it for my uncle. he's demands were 1ghz, zip 250, dvd, 256mb ram. here is what i came up with. this is used solely for apps such as excel or word, wow.

enlight 7237 (300watt PS)
thunderbird 1ghz (3 year warranty)
asus a7v133a
teac floppy 496$

crucial 256mb pc 133 cl2 112$

quantum 30 gig 7200 rpm drive 103$

samsung 8x dvd
iomega 250 zip drive
creative labs soundblaster 128
diamond mm supramax 56k modem 212$

radeon 32 meg ddr 92$

1015$ (after 30$ rebate from quantum). this is shipped to the door. the case, mobo, and cpu are already set up when it arrives. was a little higher than i thought it would be by about 150$ any places i can make substitutes or find better prices? ordered from the same place on a few things to save shipping charges, but the products were higher.

You type with your mouse???

Maybe you have a program that assigns the key inputs 'grrr' and 'asdfa' to additional buttons...
