for a small test, i unplug all my 80mm fans, and leave my 120 blowhole running, i get the same temp -/+ 1-2 degrees.......is that normal?? what can i do to make the temp go DOWN using my 80's?

yah that's normal...i guess...depends really. Some people knock off 5 degrees and more...some people barely get 3.

Where are your 80mm fans fitted and what CFM are they rated at?
A standard type PSU fan, I have found, has very low output, check the CFM rating of yours against other 80mm's.
I had one in the front of my case and one in the side panel, blowing directly onto the CPU and they were low output 80mm.
I changed them to Sirocco 34 CFM 80mm and my CPU temp came down from 42 to 37 degC, and my Mobo a proportional amount.

i only actually bought one, so it's a decent one, probably around 45cfm, i threw away the box, so i duunno, the rest of them i yanked out of old AT PSU's before i trashed them, that could be the problem, heh. i'll probably duct one/mod it and use it on my HSF instead of the 40mm on there right now and have it take from outside the case so it's always got cool air, any suggestions on how i could manage that?
