as some of you may know i am a high school senior who will soon go off to college to major in networking administration. i took cisco network design class 1 and 2 at high school last yr and passed with solid A's. i go back to register for school and im told that the networking 3 and 4 class have been cancelled because not enough people signed up (but networking 1/2 is still being taught). this sucks, i know i could probably read stuff off the net and start learning to code to improve my networking skills but now i cant get the hands on skills from working with the cisco routers. this sucks i dont know how this affect my college plans

My advise is to talk to the guidance councilor and the teacher who would teach the class. See if you can setup an independent study were you teach yourself the stuff and take the exams and what not associated with the class(es). IF you need access to the actual hardware, see if you can use it after school to assist with your studies.

As far as college plans, it depends if the University would accept the classes as forfulling prereq for classes in need for you degree. Unless your school doesn't take them, or allow you take an exam to see if your proficient in the material covered by a certian class or classes in the degree program, they might have you take the classes over again so that every student starts off on the same page. If that is the case, it might benifit you, seeing as some Prof/Instructors have a certian way of doing things and come examination time, doing thing their way is the best way to get a good grade in the class.

Same here, I took CCNA 1 then my local community college cancelled it due to lack of interest.
