...i am almost failing an introductory history class. 🙁. i'm an engineering major and i find that all this stuff that is being taught in this class is very much USELESS. because of that i have a hard time transferring info from the book to my brain. not to mention i have a bad memory and i spend most of my time studying my engineering stuff. what gets me really mad, though, is that the newer engineers at my school are exempt from taking this class...ugh! i would gladly take another engineering class in place of this most useless class.

anyways, just had to vent a little.

well i have friends, and most of the history stuff is memorization, and my memory sucks, to say the least.

edit: maybe i'm taking a wrong approch to the way that i study. but what other ways are there, besides sitting down and reading the darn text and writing a practice essay before an exam?

Do some favors for the professor? 😛

How about memorizing chronology of events?

Take notes on the text. Outline it if you have too. That helps me. The only drawback is its real time consuming. MY notetaking skills are far over par. Or you could read the text over multiple times. That helps as well.
