This sucks...$60 down the drain

I went to my car yesterday......

I see that my car's driver side mirror in on the hood of my car.....

Some person just put the a piece of paper saying "sorry" on my car....no check, no contact info, just a note saying "sorry":disgust:

I would not be so mad, but this is the third time someone has took my mirror off. ATleast the other times, however, I was given contact info or there was a witness.

Looks like $60 down the drain🙁

Why is it happening so often to your mirror.

Is it the make and design of the car? Is your work/home parking lot too tight? Are you just unlucky?

You need to find a new place to park.

Nope, each time happened in a different part of Boston. I think I need to find a new city to live in.

You know what, just yesterday I saw a truck with those folding sideview mirrors and I was like, I wonder if that's really worth it. Guess it is! :Q

I guess now is where you try to be happy that it's only gonna cost $60. 😛

seriously, 60 dollars for a side mirror is impressively cheap. I know if a side mirror gotten taken off my car I'd be out 120 bucks for the mirror and then an epic amount for labor from the mighty BMW dealership of doom.

That sucks.
The part that would really hack me off, if this happened to me, is that the person that left the notes probably feels better about fvcking up your car, just because they left the note.....

yeah, I live in boston. you need to have folding mirrors otherwise they will be destroyed. At least 1 out of 5 cars on my block has a missing mirror.

Same here, and I own only a lowly dodge. $60 does should fairly cheap, but that's not really the point is it?

They probably left the note becuz somebody watching

Buy a cheapo replacement mirror with a flexible mount from somplace like JC Whitney instead of getting another fixed one... it may not match perfectly, but at least you'll be able to bend it back & I bet it'll cost less then $60.

Looks like you need those new cars with the automatic folding side mirrors. When you park and turn off your car they fold in and when you start back up they fold back out. Problem solved.

30,000 / 60

He could replace his mirror 500 times before that would be the better option.

what cheaper, buying a car that have that feature or replacing the mirror 10+ times. ha.

It's not cheap when it happens over and over again......also, the mirror is usually from ebay or a junk yard, so that leaves me with a multicolored car. It's not my fault you take your car to a shop just to replace a mirror. If you think it is so cheap, then give me money to pay for it. Secret Santa....you in this thread? I need a new driver side mirror!

...and instead of Boston's mayor tackling true issues for his constituents, he complains about two "shock jocks" taking the homeless shopping....

Go ahead Boston, elect him again! 😛

WTF mang. I thought people learn this already. When you walk around Asia like HK or Taiwan you will see that 95% of the cars have folded mirrors. If you don't fold, it's like "gg pwned." with their small streets. I fold my mirror if I'm on a small street.

But then again if you can't fold your mirror, I don't blame you. Same thing with small parking spots. Fold your damn mirrors!

find a new place to park. if this is the 3rd time, you should catch the hint and figure out that something else is going on.
