Got a flyer in the mail from Disney for discounts and my wife called up today.

Here's what we are getting for a trip in April for my son's birthday:

- $79 a night at one of their value resorts.
- $38 per adult per day or three meals plus two snacks at any resort and in the park.
- $12 per child per day or three meals plus two snacks at any resort and in the park.
- %20 off park tickets.

This sounds like a pretty good deal to me. That's basically $50 off a night for the hotel. Value resort is fine because we barely spent anytime at the hotel last time we went.

We easily spent more than $38 per person per day on food last year. That was actually one of our biggest expenses. Plus, this includes dining with the characters.

Only downside is the tickets even at 20% off. My wife lost her hookup to getting us into the park for free when her cousin quit his job at Magic Kingdom. That saved quite a bit of money.

Oh well...bonus of combining our yearly family vacation with my son's last birthday before he starts school for real.

Yep. We had been waffling on whether to go for my son's birthday. We like to go during the off-season but the cost was getting to be too much when we ran the numbers. This is very close to off-season prices.

Yeah, we stayed at the Movie value resort last year. We'll be at the Music one this time. They are nice enough for what we need them for. We looked at the prices for the Animal Kingdom resort and my jaw hit the floor.

I'm hoping Spring Breaks will be done by April 21st.
