... stick with the old?

I post on a board that uses XenForo and it's awesome.

It shows updated posts in threads when you are typing a response, you can embed like freaking everything, looks purdy, has custom themes amongst a bunch of other updated features.

This site is old, ugly and quite lacking in awesomeness, except the community of course.

This thread has been read by 5 more people than have ever updated their forum software at a member's suggestion.

What the hell is the point? I don't care if my forums look pretty, and if you do you can write some scripts to change it on your own. I don't want shit embedded in posts, the ability to do images is more than enough as it is.

you can leave if you don't like it. We won't miss you.

It's merely a suggestion. What the fuck are you so butthurt about?

You are really that fucking stupid to miss the point? Really? Calm down and think before you post. D:

I would love for the forum software to be updated. However, AT is running 3.8.8 Alpha 1. Freakin' alpha software!

Direct from vbulletin changelog notes:
vBulletin 3.8.8 ALPHA 1 is an early evaluation release that has received no official QA testing. It is not recommended for use on Production sites, and will not be supported if installed.

If there is no drive to move to even a stable release of 3.8.8, then I highly doubt that there will be a move to any other forum software even if it's better.

I'd be fine if they moved to the latest stable vbulletin 5. I think it's 5.1.6. I'm sure it'd get rid of some of the stupid bugs that happen to pop up every now and then, and it'd look nicer.

My wife thinks you should upgrade. She said she might join if you upgrade.

Don't upgrade. I don't want her reading the crap that I spout off in here. She deals with enough of what I spout off.

Jokes aside, I like the classic look and feel of this forum but it is definitely lacking in some features. I wonder what kind of server this thing runs off of.

Guess nobody wanted to pay the $209 to upgrade to VBulletin 5. Maybe we should take up a collection.
