Actually I really have concern about this. My recent dental work has proven that novacane (or whatever they call it now) dosen't work on me. If I ever need real surgery, I fear that I'll be awake enough to feel the pain, but sedated enough not to react. 🙁

I could feel the entire dental procedure (pain and all) last time, and I was given large amounts of novacane. I just hope that I am really uncoincious during a real "surgery"...

Sometimes novocaine will not work on me so I stop the dentist. They put some more in and I am fine. Soemtimes it just needs to reach the right spot. No reason for you to take the pain.

Have an appointment today.

I've done that once for a very small filling (no gas or navacaine). Any deeper and I would have needed something. I agree that the hours afterwards of numbness really sucks.
