Hi, just wondering if this is correct - 12 pipelines.

Link

Just so you know, that price is the cheapest around here, about 800$US.

Interesting... That picture is of a 6800 Ultra notice the 2 molex connectors and dual DVI. A GT has 16 pixel piplines though it does give the correct clock speeds for the GT... The vanilla 6800's are the ones with 12 pipes... but have much slower clocks So I'm not sure what it really is... You might want to call them and confirm if it has 16 pipes or not....

It must be a typo because they list the correct core&clockspeeds but the GT is a 16 pipe card. here's the Chaintech product info page

They both show 2 connectors so I surmise they are both using the same Ultra pic as the reference, or Chaintech is potentially going to have a seriously overclocking friendly GT....

Maybe a plain 6800 with faster mem? i dunno.
That's bizarre  The 6800 uses 128mb of regular DDR while with this they advertise 128mb DDR3, and it has the GT's clockspeeds but with 12 pipes. Could this be a card meant to fill the niche between the GT and vanilla 6800? Perhaps a GT that has some bad pipes disabled, or just shut off? The potential to unlock the pipes could be interesting provided this site isn't just displaying whacked specs.

Everyone is swooning over the GT. This is the scenario I'm watching the closest.

That 6800Pro looks mighty interesting.

My only problem with the normal 6800 is it's slow memory bandwidth. At the higher resolutions with AA/AF, it is sometimes slower than the 9800 and 5950 cards. This "Pro" version, with the fast memory, looks like it could be a real nice card if the price is right.

Am I mistaken, or did the memory specs of the 6800GT change? I could have sworn that initially it was supposed to come with 128bit, DDR1 memory....

You are VERY wrong they have always been speced for 256 DDR3
