I'd have to agree. Most cars look worse when riced, there is no way around it. This is a great example - a civic is not the right shape for those modifications. No amount of modifications will make it look like a race car.

it looks pretty good from the side... but the lights, front and back look pretty bad. front looks particularly bad. you got your light covers [which look pretty bad in the first place], you got your huge ram air... and you got the bugeyed rally foglights. i think the hood itself might look alright, but plus the other two... its like the guy wanted every single ricer mod in the book.
