I'm trying to install windows xp and I told it to copy install files to my d drive (usually I just install from the cd but I figured I'd give it a try). I also downloaded the updated setup files from windows update but I'm pretty sure both of these were saved to the c drive. now when I restart and try to delete my c partition, it says it's unable to do it because it contains setup files. I tried installing again without copying setup files and without getting the updated setup files, but it does the same thing. any ideas?

Make sure you boot off of your CD and get rid of your partitions and try again son!

thanks, I figured it out thanks to bmacd's post. I didn't think the cd was bootable so I've always done it by running the program in windows first, but apparently the problem was that my boot order was reset when I flashed my bios.
