I needed 2 classes to graduate, and I was intending to take them this summer and graduate the first week of august.

Well, the class is full. I can keep trying and hope that someone drops (unlikely as the classes are required by every psych major to graduate).

To take it in the next regular session means I don't graduate for another 12 months!

The summer classes have an equal number of spaces handed out each day to students depending on their student #. I tried to register the very minute that my registration period began and it was already full.

Go talk to the instructor and explain your situation. They might make an exception and let you in.

Go to the dean of your college and the teacher that teaches it. I know in my field they have placed graduates ahead of others or added another seat for the class.

Yeah man, talk to the dean or someone in high authority, kick off that freshman or junior if you need the class to graduate.

The problem is that the class has a lab requirement which needs a computer. I talked to the faculty and they said all I cna do is hope someone drops.

Never heard of that before. Here it's first come first serve. The quickest ones get to take the class.

Well, that's what happens when you don't register early enough.

You should have priority though, screw the faculty, go talke to the dean or head of your department.

Truth be told, the dean and I don't get along that well.

I do know the president of the university though...

Winner. Profs (at least when I was in school) had some number of positions that they could fill at their discretion. Besides one more person at an already filled class won't be too hard to handle. Talk to the prof

Did you read his post? He said he registered as soon as his registration period began so it's not like he sat on his ass and waited until the last minute.

My college did something similar to OPs, except it was by class. Seniors had the ability to register for classes first, then X days later juniors, and so on.

Talk to the dean. You, as a graduating senior, should have priority over other students. I know at Auburn, they'd boot juniors off class rolls to make room for graduating seniors.

yeah, have that here at UCF too.

to the OP either a) talk to your department ... they have specific administrative procedures to class override. they can add up to like 10 students like that. at least here at UCF they do. b) add/drop sniping, ftw!
