Thats the error I get when I try to run D:\Setup with Janes Fleet Command in XP... whats it mean, and How do I fix it?

If you downloaded the file, try downloading it again from a different site.

If not, try running the program under Windows 98/ME compatibility mode.

Wont work in any compatabilitymode, and I didnt download it, its Janes Fleet Command, I just bought it

Does the box say it is compatible with XP? If so, then it may be a corrupted exe file on the CD.

I did not buy the mac version, I'm not that dumb. And its an older game, pre-2000 I belive, and dosent support NT. Which leads me to belive I'm SOL until I get around to dual booting 98..

lol that'd be funny, check here ntcompatible, they got it to run under win2k with some reg editing or something, hope it works for xp

The game was built for Win16 and does not have a 32bit header.

You are SOL in that respect. You may be able to get a patch for the header.

Try and contact the manufacturor about the problem. If you just bought the game NEW, they may have a true 32 version of the game that they will send you. If not, try to return it back to the store.
The store may throw a fit about opend S/W, however, stick to your guns that it will not run on XP.

And I guess theres no way to make XP Emulate a Win16 whatever?

If I should get off my lazy ass and dual-boot 98 and XP with this thing, will it work then?
