John McCain (I think) made the joke after Kerry took the lead in the primaries that by the end of the campaign, no one would know what side of the war Kerry fought on.

How does inactive reserve status have meaning? It only means you are a civilian on a leash that can be jerked back. Much as I hated the protests back then, I still see no proof of any treason. If Jane Fonda was not tried, I don't know who would. The protests were a common agenda I suppose, but I see no proof of direction. I used to be friends with one of the guys wounded at Kent State and we've talked at length. As much as we disagreed about the protests, I am sure he and those like him were looking out for the best interests of their country, not N Vietnam.
 
Jane Fonda was a civilain though, even though he was in the Inactive Reserves you are still punishible by the UCMJ and held to a higher standard then the civilian population, so it does mean something if he did actually do this. Funny thing would be to have him called back now for crimes he comitted then, never happen though.

Apparently not. I can't believe the number of people who read the document and said Kerry was working for the communists. That just shows a complete lack of reading comprehension skills. Wasn't that part of the ACT or something?
