For context, no I wasn't mad about Trump's first term affecting me specifically as I was employed and had no pre-existing conditions. However I was trying to be a nice guy and hold Trump accountable despite voting for him.

A liberal journalist decided to write a hit piece on me just taking what the tweet "sounded" like to look good.

P.S - I voted for Kamala this time.

I'm sorry you feel embarrassed by something you posted eight years ago on X.

However, we will not be taking a post that incidentally references it. Furthermore, this is not the forum for your "plea.". Finally , you must stop spamming Reported Posts with your numerous complaints on this subject. They have no merit under our rules of engagement.

As for Trumps first term. I enjoyed it until he cleared Layfayette park. That was the last straw for me.

This tweet was just a throwaway tweet for me asking him to put pressure on his own party that was misinterpreted by an unethical journalist.

After that article was published my life was threatened by internet weirdos about 5 or 6 times as well by people on twitter. I dealt with that at the time but either way this a reminant I never bothered to clean up.

This isn't a competition. Nor am I an unreasonable or unobjective person. The post was never representive to me or my position in the first place.

I voted for Trump because I saw weaknesses in the democrats platform that I wanted them to address. Three election cycles later then never addresses them and it took Trump winning again when I didn't vote for him for liberal broadcasters to start talking about the problems with Democratic leadership in elections.

Either way, I will want this thread deleted to when the post is deleted. Ironically I am a IT engineer since 2007 and I have never used this site or read one of those articles and am only using this site now to reduce my internet presence.

This reminds me of the GQP admin the other day saying that a guy was mistakenly shipped off to El Savador the other day but also he was in MS-13. I'm just wondering if the ability to construct a consistent narrative is something that Trump supporters lose because they listen to his internally-inconsistent BS all day long or whether with increasing exposure that we're all vulnerable.

There are plenty of communities that would honor my request out there. This isn't the first time I have had to get something removed about me on the internet.
It's up to the mods of this community to decide what is a better look for them.

If I wasn't getting death threats on twitter that kept me busy from this same tweet I would of been in the original thread arguing with you guys but my wife doesn't care what I put on the internet she just doesn't like that I like to use my real name. I had half a mind to be on here back then under my real name but I am glad I didn't. This was the right time for me to appear.

I used to do it so no one would accuse me of being a keyboard warrior saying things with no conquences. "Like I am using my real name what about you brotha" kind of frame.

I've been threatened personally because of this online strategy about 3 different times in my life. But I also had people invite me out to dinner because they realize that I was not just some troll I was being real and sometimes people would have dinner with me and we would have a nice conversation.

It never worried me when I was single. I enjoyed the realness of my words back then.

But now I am a father of a little girl and my wife wants our family to be more protected.

I've known about this thread for years but I actually got sick enjoyment out of it being there. I often would read the posts for my own amusement.

However, my wife did not and with the baby I now understand her point.

I wasn't trying to get back at the Dems. I was trying to help them improve their platform by forcing them to actually "do the hard work" instead of just thinking they could win easily.

Voting against Democrats doesn't improve the party. It puts Republicans in power. If you want Democrats to improve, you need to vote in primaries and engage with your reps and other stakeholders who may have their ears.

In a way you are right considering they didn't learn much from losing in 2016, they made similar messaging issues to demonstrate how much they love losing in 2024
