I firmly believe that ANY President we field from the two major parties will be a liar and accountable only to the "people" who fund their campaigns. Bush, Gore, pfft. It doesn't make a damn difference. Instead of Enron and Haliburton, you'd get AFL-CIO and the NEA. Perhaps this is why so many citizens are disillusioned and don't even care to vote.

If you mean the shah of Iran he was our ally for 35 years, once he was overthrown Cater allowed him to come here for medical treatment which may have been the cause the embassy and hostage taking. What was he to do stat our former ally in the back? Does'nt set a very good prescedence for our realtions with other nations/leaders. Now here is the kicker. Where was the investigation against Monica if this was indeed illegal? I could be mistaken but it takes two to have oral sex... I've never voted for a Republican presidential candidate in my life (and I may never in the future), but I'm so blinded by hate for the Republican party that I would sacrifice my fellow countrymen to make some ridiculous political statement.
