Hm, the properies of mplayer2.exe say that it hasn't been modified for a couple of months. If this was the mal-britany pic it would have modified the executable when I clicked on the picture no?

I've seen people get viruses by visiting a website without downloading anything proactively. Granted, there's scripts on pages, but still... the unimaginable is possible. I must read more about this "virus" now.

Dude...that was sooooo not funny. I was this |--| close to ripping out the HDD and reinstalling. Whew anyway.
