This guy I work with has 4 Children ranging from 21 to 6 years old. We were just casually talking and I brought up Halloween. I am asked him if he was taking his kids out trick or treating? He Said and I quote " we don't believe in Halloween because it is a celebration of the devil?" I said WTF?!?!?! Some of my fondist childhood memories where when I went out on Halloween to score some candy hehe.

He also asked me how to install a Pr0n filter on his 21 year old kids computer....Again I kept to myself but WTF!! The dude will need a manual to get laid. Talk about sheltering your kids!!

I have ranted about this guy before he tried to get me to go to his wanged out church and I said NFW!!

The next time he tries to convert me ,I am going to tell him I am Statan's Spawn ;)

Go over to his place when the parents arent home and deliver a package of porn and candy....

This is insane IMO, kids will end up messed up....

Just tell him you can't go to church, you have plans to meet up in the woods for some small animal sacrifices after dinner ;)

My wife doesn't celebrate it because of her religion, my kids therefore don't either (nor do they care). I could care less either way, i always despised Halloween, even as a child. it's a stupid tradition if you ask me, but to those who "celebrate" it, Keep On Truckin'.

i work with a guy like that
if you arent a southern baptist youre going to hell.
he probably thinks mother teresa or the freakin pope are in/going to hell. if you want to get him started, mention catholocism around him.
hes a complete fanatical-protestant headcase. he wont buy kodak film because they offer benefits to same-sex partners. i wonder how much he watches ABC or his grandchildren watch Disney movies?
he leaves these fliers for revivals and crap in my office all the time, next time he asks me to come to his church im going to tell him "i will make it my business not to attend, thank you."

When my mom was a teacher, she taught a child who's family did not believe in Halloween. He was in kindergarten, and didn't really understand why all the other kids got to go trick-or-treating and he couldn't.

So he can't believe what he wants? But you're entitled to think Halloween is the best thing since sliced bread.

What he wants to do with his family isn't your business. Also, "The dude will need a manual to get laid." Considering he has four children already, I think he has it under control.

That was in reference to the 21 year old whom the father wanted the Nanneyware for.

Aren't people allowed to have a different belief system? You have no problem with Halloween, he does; there's nothing wrong with that.

I too have fond memories of Halloween as a child.

Which religion is it against to celebrate or paticipate in Halloween activities?

Ah, read too fast. Well, either way, considering probably what they believe in they most likely aren't going to be having pre-marital sex so he wouldn't have to worry about that until his wedding night.

At my church (Baptist) we don't celebrate Halloween, but they put on like a fall festival or whatever as an alternative for the family. Pretty nice.
