hello guys.. I need your opinion..

1 of my 3 PC, which is what I'm running linux, is a bare-naked motherboard ( no PC case ) ... is dying.

so I want to get a new motherboard-with-cpu combo, and migrate the existing DDR400, DVD/CDRW, ATI9800 AGP videocard, and a handful of harddrives.

I need your opinion on which one of the two to get..

choice # 1 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications...s.asp?EdpNo=1951823&sku=MBM-8KRAI-3300

choice # 2
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications...em-details.asp?EdpNo=1697047&CatId=191

basically what I'm looking for is..
1) Low power consumption
2) stability over performance
3) maximum compatibility with Linux

I have to get it before the end of this month in order to claim the rebate. THANKS :)

not newegg for the cheapest...not these days atleast

shop around FS/FT or HotDeals...that and a 3300+ Socket A Sempron is probably misleading...Probably around a 2.8 or so; I wouldn't put faith in the last generation of AMD PR numbers if I were you.

thank you so much guys :) majority seems to think the MSI-cpu combo is better than the Epox-cpu combo ( and $10 cheaper too). I needed that because my current bare-naked Mobo-cpu ( aopen ax 45-8xn - P4 2.4 norwood) kept freezing and the bios needs to be reset upon every boot. Anyways, this is just a *spare* PC because I still have my new opteron gamer PC and a P2.4 VCR PC.

thanks again :) but maybe if you've encountered a better deal on mobo+cpu.. lemme know :)
