True HIV dies very fast, but I think it would still weird me out a little bit. Also, this could very possibly have been a fatal accident and I would be very uncomfortable w/ that knowledge. FUrthermore, I can't imagine that the drivetrain is still good. That car is totally F'd and the loading that was put on the engine upon impact would have been immense.

What he is asking for doesnt sound that bad reall. Keep in mind that car has a 5K supercharged v8 with little over 3k miles and its not your regular run of the mill engine either, its a cobra. Then tack on the trans and true dual exhaust with dual cats and mufflers that alone is worth alot more then what he is asking for. Granted it has HIV all over it but if you bought it strictly for the engine and stuck that in a 5.0 project youd have ove baaaaaaaad mama jama.

When you think about it. That car prob cost here about 23K-7 and the guy probabaly brought it from a insurance acudtions (sp) for about 4k or something. That thing still has "0" bids on it, so its probably not going any place anytime soon.

You're comparing that "gem" to factory new prices. That engine, etc. isn't exactly in new condition. It ain't worth shit. I wouldn't trust ANY of the drive train components.

$2.5k max if you ask me.
