This may sound sick......

My family agreed years ago to not buy each other gifts for Christmas. I for one am much less stressed over that aspect of Christmas now.

I wish I could get away with that.. I think it's so lame "having" to spend money on this crap.. I have a LOT of expenditures lately and I'd rather not see Christmas less than 2 months away.. :|

You know you don't have to buy anything, noone is forcing you to go out and buy stuff...Chrismas isn't supposed to be about spending money it's about being with your family and friends. I personally enjoy buying stuff for my family...makes me feel warm and squishy inside.

Same here. Sure I get a bit stressed-out getting gifts for the wife, but hey, in the end it's all good.

yep. me too! i love getting gifts for those that mean a lot to me. Its a small way for me to thank them for their love and support throughout the year.

I've spent my freetime scanning about 100 years worth of family history and photography. over 1000 images thus far and i've barely scratched the surface. If i get this done by xmas, my family is getting a dvd with a moderate amount of organization, and maybe a slideshow but that's it!!!! toooo much work

hmm .....
Property taxes are >2X as bad as last year for me.
Utility costs are up significantly vs last year
Gas prices are up significantly vs last year

If I didn't just get a 5% increase, I'd be completely broke

This will be a cheap X-mas for me.
