This may be a Linux install issue?

I've got a post over in the SW forum that is questioning wether there is a issue with Partition Magic 7 and the EXT3 file sys, but as I read it, I'm thinking it's a issue with my install of RH 7.2?

Here's the thread: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=33&threadid=712497

The reason that I questioned PM 7 was because I used it to create the unpartitioned space preping for the RH install.

I know that EXT3 isn't an option when creating partitions with PM7, but I did use it to delete a ntfs part, and left it unpartioned to let the RH install to the partitioning with EXT3.

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance?

Problem: Chair to keyboard interface error.

Fix: Dont bother with Linux, you arent right for it.

Alternate solution: RTFM.

Sorry to break it to you, but your other post made you sound like a moron (my opinion of course). Check out my response there :)

just make a ext2 partition and install on that
make sure it works
then recompile your kernel with ext3
reboot
tune2fs -j /dev/hda# your ext3 partition number
edit etc/fstab so its says EXT3
and wolla
simple as that
