A 1ghz system w/ speakers 17inch monitor speakers etc. DOES NOT RETAIL FOR 4000 DOLLARS!

engine, I know...when I look at this system there are only 2 respectible components...a 1ghz tbird...and a western digital hd...but wd is by far not the best.

I love when they're selling computers with onboard video, and they keep saying how it's great because it takes the amount of ram it needs to run a game. So on top of the whopping 64megs of ram, the computer takes some of it away so you can enjoy your game in software mode, wow I think I'm gonna go drop a few grand on it right now!

LTk, you're right...its worse than retail stores. The thing about retail stores is you have a chance of getting a guy who doesnt care about his job and will be COMPLETLY honest with you (like I did when I worked at best buy) heh

BTW, $50 for a CHEAP pair of speakers? More like $10-20, even in a retail store.

Back on topic . . . even the fact that they're selling it for 2 grand blows me away. I've been pricing a laptop for my brother as a HS graduation present, and I can get a fully loaded P3 700 Dell notebook for around 1600 bucks. I would never pay more than a thou for a premade computer . . .just think, for two grand you could have the fastest CPU available, at least 512MB of memory, a GeForce Ultra, and an Ultra 160 SCSI hard drive. No easy financing, though, which is HSN's only real selling point for the unwashed masses that actually buy this crap.
