Wow, thats gotta suck hardcore. Must have been some aftermarket rims... not sure why someone would want to steal factory LS rims.

Reminds me of a family friend. She drove an Altima with some big ol 19"-20" chrome rims and all that. Had em for a month before her car was on cinderblocks in her driveway, shes not back on the factory steel wheels and hubcaps. I wonder how much those rims set her back.

They just did a report down here in Phoenix and stated that rims are stolen, on average, one set a day. Scottsdale seems to get hit the hardest..the area is nice, but that doesn't matter. An alarm with schock sensors won't do any good here. I have no idea how but they said that the thieves disable most alarms before going to work.

Edit: Here is the article.

Sucks to be them. I hope they catch whoever did that to the LS. Whoever did that deserves a painful death...via papercut... :|

Man. Were they not locked? These days if I had expensive rims I'd go the 'insane' route and get a different lock on each lug. So that would be 4 - 5 seperate on each individual rim, lol.

Thieves really just need to be rounded up and executed. There aren't many lower forms of life than scum who steal the fruits of another's labor because they're too damned lazy to earn it like everyone else does.

On edit: And the people who support thieves by buying their stolen goods should have every article of personal property stripped from them. I mean picked clean right on down to peeling the wall paper off their walls. Then, perhaps, they will understand what it is that they support.

My friend that lives in Arizona said that he has at least one person per week tries to steal his rims. I heard that a majority of people have remote pop lock and shaved their door handles to prevent this. It's a sad world when people have to resort to doing such things.

Maybe he just got new wheels and he's getting the tires mounted and balanced? Maybe? :D

I know nothing about alarm install. ;)

Yeah there are a lot of modded cars here that have the remote pop lock and shaved door handles.

The passenger's side front bumper was scraping the ground though. I don't think that a Lincoln LS owner would do that...

A shaved door handle is when it is removed and sheetmetal is welded into it's place, the door(s) are then opened by remote.
