Uhhh, I normally just have my "Local Area Connection" icon listed here, but I noticed this listed above it under Internat Gateways tonight. Don't remember seeing it before. What the hell is it? It's listed as being disconnected.

This is under Windows XP. And I do run ZoneAlarm and NAV 2002 to keep my system on lockdown.

Well, if you had a wireless card in your box and were at home, I'd say you sniffed out your neighbors' WAP. So on that note, where are you?

The syntax of the statement looks like some guy's pc (DEADS) has some gateway style software and is sharing his internet connection, apparently a Fast Access ADSL customer??

I'd say that some guy in another room/dorm pulled his machine from his home, moved from an apartment, etc. where that box was serving as a gateway/router and dropped it into his room and didn't take out his DSL card or remove the network connection config for it.

Don't know how you would've autoconfig'ed for it, but then again, I've never been on an XP box for more than 30 seconds ;) Maybe that's a new "feature" - to find any available routers with XP-style ICS
