What do you expect them to do? Bring the guy back from the dead? Give the family millions of dollars?
I "apologize" to people if I let a door close in their face or forget to buy them a birthday present, not for shooting someone with a gun eight times.

How would you apologize to Iraqi families whose fathers, mothers, brothers or sisters were killed during "shock and awe?"
