omg havent u ever seen that one movie where this family let go a spider that it caught and it like mulitplied to millions and like terrorized the town? i woulda stomped that thing... from like 15 feet away...with a pole and a boot at the end.
 
actually it looks more like a redback to me... but i'm far far far from an expert.

it's a beautiful creature that was minding it's own business. you did well in letting it go. these things consume something like 500x their weight in pests a year. so they're pretty useful pest control. 🙂
 
See a spider, kill a spider. That way you won't have to wonder if it's poisonous or not as it's definitely harmless now.
